Cariss was fortunate enough to experience travel growing up with her family. From small beach getaways to month-long car trips across the United States, her passion for experiencing the world was born. She believes that travel connects us to other cultures, and the Earth itself, in ways no other hobby can. Cariss loves Disney! She visited Disneyland a few times as a child and teenager. However, it wasn’t until she moved to Southern California in 2000 to attend college and she got a part-time job at Disneyland, that her love for Disney really blossomed. Cariss worked for “The Mouse” a total of 7 years, half of those years in Attractions and the other half in Guest Relations as a VIP Tour Guide. As Cast Member, she helped countless families have memorable magical vacations. Even after she left the Disneyland Resort to pursue a degree in Culinary Arts, Cariss stayed up to date on the latest Disney news. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Cariss met and married her very own “Prince Charming”. She spent countless hours planning their honeymoon to Walt Disney World. Shortly after returning from that trip, Cariss saw the opportunity to turn her expertise and passion for travel in to a career with Magical Vacation Planner. She couldn’t wait to help others plan unforgettable vacations. Cariss and her husband are now parents of a curious and adventurous boy. She looks forward to the many adventures they will take as a family and hopes that he will grow up loving travel as much as she does. In addition to being an expert on Disney Destinations and Universal Parks and Resorts, Cariss is a huge fan of cruising!
