Hi there!! I’m Christi Madere- a recent empty nester with a passion for helping others! I am also a registered nurse who is currently pursuing other roles in life like “Stay at home Wife” and Vacation Planner extraordinaire! My husband Joe and I live in Madisonville, Louisiana. We have three grown children and one spoiled rescue dog. Our oldest son Bailey is recently married to his beautiful bride Madison and no we are NOT ready for grandkids yet- just kidding :) Our son Reese lives in Madisonville also and our daughter Paige recently moved to Nashville for her career. We love living in Louisiana where we were born, BUT we also love seeing the world! Our daughter lived in Italy for a semester abroad and I think we were more jealous than proud – hahaha! Seriously though, we have traveled throughout the US with and without kids. Every other year we visited Walt Disney World alternating with a cruise or adventure in the mountains, at the beach or anywhere the guys could cast a line. Now that we don’t have school schedules and kids we can go where we please! Who knows what we will be doing next! we have been to Alaska on a cruise and that has been our favorite without the kids, but we also are suckers for anything Disney and are eager to get to Europe for a Christmas River cruise for our 30th anniversary next year! I love gardening, shopping and decorating and I am seriously addicted to crime shows. As his passion project my husband does catering for small events and weddings, schools and church events. He has won many cooking contest for his Gumbo and Jambalaya and yet I still do most of the cooking at home.
