I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I believe in a life of God first, family second, career third and everything else life throws our way comes in fourth! When our children were younger, we believed in creating memories for them that would last a lifetime, even a picnic in the park can be a fantastic memory if you put forth the effort. We began taking our teenage and adult children to Disney World in 2008. Even tho they were older, we had never taken them on a real vacation and they had always dreamed of going to Disney. In Christmas 2008, we went to Disney and stayed off property. We were all amazed at the experience and vowed to return but to stay on Disney property for the full experience. We returned and stayed at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort for my sons birthday. It was so magical. We utilized the dining plan this time as well. 50’s Prime Time Cafe was a huge hit and became our favorite (we still dine there on every visit). Our 5th visit was our 2nd Christmas there and our first stay at a moderate resort. We chose Port Orleans and fully enjoyed all that it had to offer. My son and husband enjoyed fishing, we all took the boat over to “Downtown Disney” as it was known at the time and we took a sleigh ride thru Fort Wilderness to look at the Christmas lights on all the campers. Summer 2013, we took our grandchildren for the first time. They were ages 2 and 3 at the time. We again chose a moderate resort, staying again at Port Orleans in two rooms. My granddaughter was treated to hair and makeup at Bippity Boppity Boutique at the castle with lunch following with Cinderella and all the princesses. My grandson was treated to a full pirate experience that day at Magic Kingdom as well, including marching in the pirate parade later that day in his pirate attire and makeup. It was such a magical experience to witness thru the eyes of a child. These are a sampling of our first Disney vacations. Each trip has included new experiences for all to enjoy. From jet skis at Grand Floridian to the hot air balloon ride at Disney Springs, we try to make new memories with each visit. It has been my dream for several years to help others plan a magical vacation and live the Disney dream with their own families. I am thrilled to be a part of the Magical Vacation Planners Team.
