Benefits of Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort

I am always asked, “Is it worth staying on property at Disney World?” The short answer is, “YES!” Who wouldn’t enjoy convenience and perks while on vacation? Here are some benefits you will receive while staying at a participating Disney resort.

Extra Park Hours
Disney Resort guests are admitted into the parks 30 minutes before the general public. You would be surprised how much you can accomplish with a 30-minute head start! In addition, those staying at a Deluxe Resort get even more extra hours with extended evening times inside the parks (on selected nights).

Experience Priority
Being a valued Disney Resort guest gives you first dibs at snagging popular character dining experiences and enchanted extras like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and building a Star Wars lightsaber. Resort guests also get first access into the Genie+ the morning of your park visit to grab those, first come first serve, Individual Lightning Lane passes. Individual Lightning Lane passes provide you a ticketed time to return and be able to access the Lightning Lane vs. standard waiting queue to experience those highly popular and or new attractions.

Complimentary Transportation
Disney Resorts provide complimentary transportation to the Disney parks, Disney Springs and resorts. Resort guests won’t have to park and walk to the gates, hunt for vehicles at the end of a long park day, or pay for parking or ride shares. Let Disney be your chauffeur while you are on vacation!

Free Parking
Guests receive free parking while staying at a participating Disney Resort.

Stay in the Middle of the Magic
Did you know that not only do Disney Resorts have magical themes, decor, pools, and rooms, but they also host a variety of family-fun entertainment? Guests enjoy poolside movies under the stars, campfire activities, arcade areas, and resort pin trading with Cast Members, just to name a few.

Biggest reason: PROXIMITY!
Cranky kids? Cranky adults? The convenient location of all Disney Resorts makes it easy for guests of all ages to travel back and forth from the parks (with appropriate ticketing). Enjoy an afternoon nap at your resort and return to the parks for some evening fun. Grab a bite to eat at your favorite quick-eats or table service restaurant, and end with dessert and fireworks in your favorite park!

There is no better way to “do Disney” than to immerse yourself and your family fully in the magic and reap some perks while you’re at it.
