The ‘Disney Challenges’

Walt Disney World® Resort - EPCOT®
Walt Disney World® Resort – EPCOT®

Are you and your family repeat guests at Walt Disney World? Can you get around the parks without ever having to look at a map? Have you ever thought, “I have done everything in Walt Disney World before, now what?”

If you answered yes to these questions, then here’s something to add some fun and excitement to your next trip: A DISNEY CHALLENGE!

For 9 years, my family has been traveling to Walt Disney World and soaking in every moment possible. The more we traveled to The Most Magical Place on Earth, the more we heard stories from people taking on one of these Disney Challenges. The more their stories of legends and lore kept being told, the more I wanted to try to tackle these challenges myself. So I got started!

Being an MVP and self-proclaimed Disney Pro, I wanted my first challenge to be the 4 parks in 1 day challenge!

4 Parks – 1 Day Challenge

For this Disney Challenge, the goal is to park-hop to each park in Walt Disney World (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom) on the same day. Now, that is obviously not too difficult, but the catch is in the details!

To complete this challenge, a person must ride at least one ride and eat at least one snack food in each park. There have been some variations to this challenge, but this is the version I chose to tackle. I went in thinking this was going to be a piece of cake! What I didn’t realize, however, was how much planning this challenge required. I had to time out my transportation to each park, figure out the closest attraction with the lowest wait times, and locate the snack foods that were on my way either to the attraction or in and out of the park.

I was able to successfully complete this challenge and make it to all 4 parks in 1 day, ride at least one ride and eat a snack in each park. It was one of the most exciting things I have ever completed during a trip to Walt Disney World!

Other Challenges

There are several other popular challenges that people take on:

Drinking Around the World

Get a drink from each Country’s Pavilion around the World Showcase in EPCOT.

Snacking Around the World

Get a snack from each Country’s Pavilion around the World Showcase in EPCOT.

The Mickey Challenge

Take a picture with Mickey Mouse in each of the 4 parks in 1 day.

These challenges are some fun and exciting ways to help guests enjoy their time and push their Walt Disney World limits. It is a chance to see just how much of a Disney Pro you really are.

With that being said, I DO NOT encourage first-time guests to tackle these challenges. I want all of my first-time guests at Walt Disney World to take the time to soak everything in: the sights, the smells, the colors, the characters, the rides, the food, and the fun of being a kid again.

I would only encourage those guests who have already been to Walt Disney World several times to take on one of these challenges. These challenges are meant to add some fun and excitement to your trip when you feel like you have already done everything Disney-related.
