With the addition of new members to our leadership staff, MVP needed someone with an excellent level of organizational skills to bring everyone together, solidify the team, and set the basis to reach our future goals. With that in mind, our Founder and CEO, Jamie Ane Eubanks, alongside our Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, JJ Eubanks, have found the perfect person for the job.
Mike McCracken isn’t only a highly qualified and experienced professional, he’s also the Eubanks’ longtime family friend and one of Magical Vacation Planner’s first-ever clients. The McCracken family was one of MVP’s first clients back when the company first opened, a true testament to their trust and belief in Jamie’s dream. Since then, Mike has closely followed the company’s growth and success.
“I remember when Jamie was a little girl running around the softball fields back in Indiana,” said McCracken. “I’ve been aware of the business since they started and have always been intrigued by her grit and ingenuity to start a company like this. To watch them grow has been incredible.”
“I’ve known Mike for most of my life and have watched him succeed at the highest level,” said Jamie Ane Eubanks. “To bring someone like him into the company, with his experience and knowledge, is a great honor for me personally and for MVP as a whole.”
Different Industries, Many Similarities
McCracken spent most of his professional life in the furniture industry, with more than 35 years of experience under his belt. He has performed many high executive roles throughout his career, including Executive Vice President, President, COO, and CFO of several highly respected and successful organizations in the industry. Every company he’s been with grew significantly during his tenure, granting him a great track history of results to back up his talents and skills.
What’s most interesting, however, is that Mike has worked in a service-based industry alongside independent contractors for more than three decades, an aspect that ties directly with MVP’s operations and business model. His selection for the role was largely premeditated and decided upon consideration of all previously mentioned experiences and qualities.
“There are obvious differences between the furniture and travel industries,” said McCracken. “But also many similarities when it comes to taking care of customers. Learning the intricacies of the business and applying my 37 years of experience to help MVP grow is my main objective.”
A Longtime Connection
When JJ Eubanks’ basketball career came to an end, it was Mike McCracken who referenced him for a position at his company. Since that moment, Mike and JJ worked together in the furniture industry for 16 years growing, innovating, and achieving top results.
When JJ decided to leave the furniture industry and join his wife Jamie at MVP full-time, Mike and JJ’s professional paths separated. Their personal relationship, however, remained intact.
Now the three of them together hope to achieve, alongside the rest of the staff and independent contractors at Magical Vacation Planner, even better results and higher growth in the travel industry.
“Mike’s organizational skills will bring immense value to our company,” said JJ Eubanks. “I can’t wait to start working together again. Jamie and I envision where MVP can be a few years from now, and we know Mike will help us get there.”
A Bright Future Ahead
Teamwork, growth, and results are the three pillars that guide MVP, a company that became a powerhouse in the travel industry through hard work, perseverance, and constant innovation. Our company’s national marketing campaigns currently taking place, the development and solidification of our partnerships with the biggest names in the industry, alongside the addition of new talent, are a clear testament to the company’s vision and future goals.
Every individual at MVP has a strong connection to the company’s history. To be an MVP means connecting to our culture and mission of helping create unforgettable memories and making a positive impact in people’s lives. The addition of Mike McCracken to our executive leadership strongly reinforces these concepts.
“One thing I’ve learned is that growth is the result of taking care of people. When you take care of your customers, you grow,” said McCracken. “I know Jamie and JJ take good care of those within their company. My goal will be to work together with our independent contractors to find even better ways to improve their clients’ experiences.”
As we always say, MVP is more than just a travel agency, it’s a way to impact people’s lives. We are excited about what the future holds, and we are certain we’re moving in the right direction.
